At St. Anthony's, rules are more than instructions; they are everyday values that shape character. They help students practice responsibility, self-discipline, respect, compassion and good judgement - habits they can carry throughout life. Parents and the school share responsibility for modelling and reinforcing these expectations.
Being on time shows responsibility and respect for learning. Students must arrive at least five minutes before the first bell. More than three late arrivals in a month will result in a warning; continued lateness may lead to refusal of entry and a letter to parents.
A complete seasonal uniform promotes equality, pride and belonging. Students must remain neat and presentable. Boys must keep short, tidy hair. Girls must use white hairbands and hairpins.
Simplicity helps students remain safe and focused. Expensive jewelry, watches, extra money, mobile phones, iPads and cameras must not be brought to school. Prohibited devices will be confiscated and, in exceptional cases, returned only after a parent's written request and undertaking.
Regular use of English builds fluency and confidence. Students are expected to speak English during school hours to strengthen fluency and classroom participation.
Children progress when parents and school work together. Parents must attend orientation sessions and Parent-Teacher Meetings and communicate with staff whenever required.
Caring for others includes protecting their health. Children with infectious illnesses should remain at home. A medical certificate must accompany the leave application addressed to the Principal.
Responsible digital citizenship protects everyone's dignity. Students must not post disrespectful or harmful content about the school, staff or other students. Serious violations may be reported to the relevant cybercrime authorities.
Every student deserves a safe, harmonious and respectful environment. We value the support of students and parents in upholding these standards. Misconduct, disrespect and breaches of school rules will be addressed and recorded, while bullying in any form is strictly prohibited. Repeated or serious violations may lead to suspension or expulsion.
Learning extends beyond textbooks. Students are expected to participate responsibly in assemblies and extracurricular activities that build confidence, character, creativity and teamwork. Parents are encouraged to support them.
Clear communication supports student progress. Parents should check school SMS messages for commendations, warnings and other updates. The Main Office will confirm meeting requests within 24 hours.
Respecting teaching time keeps lessons focused. Parents should contact teachers through scheduled appointments and avoid calls during school hours. Teachers are not expected to respond to messages after 4:00 p.m.
Safe travel is a shared responsibility. Parents should arrange transport from home. Senior students must not use mobile phones at school to book rides; the gatekeeper should be informed when necessary.
