The SET Team ensures the smooth, timely, and disciplined functioning of the entire school, creating an environment where teaching and learning can take place without disruption.
The SET Department is responsible for Time Management, Movement Management, and Behavior Management throughout the school.
The department serves as the operational and discipline backbone of the school, ensuring a safe, disciplined, punctual, and positive school environment.
While teachers manage learning and discipline inside their classrooms, the SET Team supports the school by managing student movement, transitions, time, discipline, and engagement outside and between classes.
Our Three Main Roles
1. Guardian of Time & Transition
We ensure that the school day runs according to schedule, from morning assembly and disbanding to the first class, lesson changes, break, and the last lesson.
We make sure teachers and students move promptly between periods, helping prevent unnecessary delays and ensuring that valuable teaching time is not lost.
We ensure teachers attend morning assembly on time and that students and teachers disband in an orderly manner to their respective classes.
We ensure classes begin on time after morning assembly and after the break, with teachers reaching their classrooms promptly and students settled and ready to learn.
During lesson changes, we manage corridors and transitions to ensure quick, silent, and orderly movement between classes.
In case of an emergency, the SET Team acts as a first response team to help control the situation and ensure student safety.
2. Guardian of Discipline & Safety
We maintain discipline in areas where teachers may not be present, including corridors, transitions, playgrounds, canteen areas, and other common spaces.
Student movement outside the classroom during teaching hours is monitored and regulated for reasons such as visiting the washroom or school office.
During breaks and lunch, we supervise student activity in the playground, corridors, Peace Land, and canteen while maintaining a safe and disciplined environment.
Students are guided to follow the canteen queue, maintain cleanliness, and return to their classrooms on time after the break.
Break duties are allocated, checked, and monitored to ensure that assigned teachers are present and performing their responsibilities.
When a teacher has a class immediately after a break duty, the SET Team provides an appropriate replacement or cover to ensure supervision continues without interruption.
3. Guardian of School Culture & Motivation
We help build and maintain the school's culture by promoting appropriate communication standards, discipline, participation, and positive student behavior.
We promote the defined medium of communication — English — among students and staff within the school premises.
We support and organize literary competitions for Classes 1–8 to encourage confidence, communication skills, creativity, and student participation.
We plan and execute class dramas and service-learning projects that encourage students to participate, collaborate, and contribute positively to the school community.
We observe student performance and collect relevant information to support the fair and transparent selection of the Student of the Month and Student of the Year.
Student recognition considers areas such as discipline, academic performance, behavior, participation, and overall contribution to school life.
Supporting the Whole School
Through effective time management, movement control, discipline, safety, and student engagement, the SET Department helps create the conditions necessary for effective teaching and meaningful learning.
By working closely with students, teachers, and school leadership, the SET Team helps maintain a school environment that is organized, respectful, safe, and focused on learning.
